EmailCash
A big change has come… a change for the better.
EmailCash is changing names. And surveys have changed too.
1.   EmailCash
has changed names to become "RewardsCentral"

The name "EmailCash" originated 9 years ago, when the web site really was all about receiving cash for reading email. Of course over the next 9 years EmailCash has become so much more than just "email" and "cash".

Today you can earn points for surveys, online shopping, clicking ads, referring friends, and so much more. And you can get more than just "cash", with auctions, gift vouchers, charity donations, and competitions.

The brand "EmailCash" isn't relevant anymore, because many people are confused by what it's all about. With a new name, EmailCash will become a much better rewards program, with more chances for you to earn rewards and have fun online.

So we have made the bold decision to change the name to something that is better suited to what we offer. "RewardsCentral" is the name we have changed to.

"RewardsCentral" fits much better with what you get from EmailCash... a central place to earn and accumulate rewards from a variety of online sources.

2.   EmailCash Surveys has become a separate website and survey rewards program, called "MyOpinions"

New market research industry requirements that were recently introduced dictate that an online market research panel (that's what EmailCash was) cannot also send direct marketing (in EmailCash it's called Email Offers) at the same time. Therefore, EmailCash must split up to become two separate rewards programs. The "Surveys" part of EmailCash has become "MyOpinions" while the rest of EmailCash will remain as it is under the name "RewardsCentral".

Your membership of EmailCash has automatically been transferred to RewardsCentral and you will continue to earn rewards for receiving email and online shopping. If you were subscribed to receive EmailCash Surveys, then you will have also automatically become a member of the new and separate rewards program "MyOpinions". If, however, you were not subscribed to receive EmailCash Surveys, then you will not become a member of MyOpinions automatically.

You will still be able to enjoy all the redemption benefits of the old EmailCash model. The new RewardsCentral will let you consolidate reward points from many different rewards programs, including MyOpinions. So you can transfer your survey reward points from MyOpinions to RewardsCentral. Once your survey reward points are in RewardsCentral, you can combine them with your other rewards in order to request a cash out, bid in online auctions or request a gift voucher.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to do anything because of this change?

No, if you are happy to continue to be a member of the new RewardsCentral and MyOpinions, you don't have to do anything. The change of name does not affect how you earn rewards or cash out at all.

What is the web site address for EmailCash from now on?

The correct web site address is www.rewardscentral.com.au. But www.emailcash.com.au will continue to work for a long time, if you type in that address you will be taken to the new RewardsCentral... so you have plenty of time to update your links and bookmarks.
For surveys, the correct web site address is www.myopinions.com.au.

Has anything else changed in RewardsCentral? Will the forum and eBank and Gold membership and everything else remain?

Nothing else has changed in RewardsCentral. The forum will remain, you will still be able to put your points in the eBank, if you are a Gold member you will continue to enjoy the benefits of Gold membership, and you will still be able to cash out your rewards, bid in auctions, and donate rewards to charity.

Do I have to re-join MyOpinions if I want surveys?

If you were already a member of EmailCash, and if you agreed to receive EmailCash surveys, you were automatically given an account at MyOpinions without the need to do anything. All of your account information has been transferred across.

Why would I want to be a member of MyOpinions?

You joined EmailCash to earn rewards… and part of that is receiving online market research surveys. With this change, most of the market research surveys will come from MyOpinions. For that reason, if you want to continue receiving surveys, you will want to be a member of MyOpinions.

If I'm already a member of MyOpinions, what has happened to my existing MyOpinions membership?

If you were already a member of MyOpinions, we made that connection by matching up email addresses. Some slight changes may have be made to your MyOpinions account.

As a member of MyOpinions, do I have to have a PayPal account in order to redeem my rewards?

No, PayPal is not a requirement for redeeming rewards from MyOpinions, it is just an option.

I don't like this change. Why can't you keep things exactly as they are??

We have thought long and hard about this, and the decision has not been made lightly. We are confident that this change is the best step forward, both for the program as a whole, and for individual members such as yourself. We are confident that this change will make the EmailCash program much more rewarding and enjoyable for you.

Can I consolidate my rewards with RewardsCentral?

Yes, that is the concept of RewardsCentral. Initially your MyOpinions account is linked so that points you earn for surveys in MyOpinions can be transferred into RewardsCentral. By allowing you to transfer points, those points become much more useful... because you can reach the required redemption levels much sooner. There is even an auto-transfer option if you want your points moved automatically, you don't have to do anything.

The plan is to add other rewards programs to RewardsCentral later on, so that you can consolidate rewards from more rewards programs and make your points even more useful.

Who is MyOpinions? Are they trustworthy?

MyOpinions is owned and operated by PermissionCorp, the same company that owns EmailCash (RewardsCentral). MyOpinions has very strict terms of service and a privacy policy in line with the EmailCash policies, so your personal data will continue to be safe.

MyOpinions is also a member of the market research industry organisations ESOMAR and AMSRO. ESOMAR was founded in 1948 as the European Society for Opinion and Marketing Research, but today it is generally accepted as the worldwide industry body of market research organisations and professionals. AMSRO is the Association of Market & Social Research Organisations, and is the industry body for market research in Australia.

As a member of these organisations, MyOpinions follows strict industry codes of conduct and best practice recommendations.

You can place your trust in MyOpinions, the same as you have done for EmailCash in the past.

What happened to the EmailCash points I had?

Your EmailCash points balance remains in the new RewardsCentral. The only change is that instead of being called "EmailCash reward points", they will now be called "RewardsCentral reward points".

How can I sign in to the new web sites?

Your old EmailCash username and password will allow you to sign in to both RewardsCentral and MyOpinions.

How do I ensure I won't miss out on any surveys, emails or rewards from RewardsCentral and MyOpinions?

The most important step for you to ensure you don't miss any rewards is to add rewardscentral.com.au and myopinions.com.au to the "trusted senders list" or "white list" in your email program. This will ensure you will continue to receive all email notifications sent to you , and that way won't miss out on any rewards.

How to make sure you receive all of your emails and surveys?
